Luffy recalls how he got to this stage
Just as they were about to be swallowed by the tides, Luffy inflated himself to use as a jumping platform and Sanji jumped off the ship carrying the crew in his arms
Just as Luffy tried to escape the Pedoctopus it grabbed him and he fell into the vortex
The Vivre Card in his hat was lost
A girl has been caught by some thugs in the forest of creatures
Because she is a vassal from the evil Light Moon clan and they threaten to sell her in the red light district or kill her.
They reach the shore and see Sunny
Their bodyguard, the demonic baboon is fighting the guardian lion.
The thugs contact the ‘star performer’
They plan to sedate Luffy and capture him for illegal entry
A guy points his gun at Luffy but is knocked down
They told the baboon to ignore the lion and just beat Luffy instead
But Luffy scares the baboon into submission with his glare
The girl escapes, comes up behind the thugs and knocks them unconscious with a bludgeon
Her name is O Tama
O Tama makes a ring with her index finger and thumb and makes some dumplings to feed the baboon
The baboon instantly becomes attached to her
Luffy says it’s a useful ability
According to Tama he is currently in Kuri
As she was buying food in the market, the guys who brought the baboon found her
She said to remember the Kozuki clan, which is a serious crime in Wano
The guardian lion was trying to protect her
She brings Luffy back to her home and makes him a small meal of rice and pickles
Luffy is disappointed at having so little to eat
Tama lies that she’s going to the bathroom, but actually drinks from a river to stave off her hunger
Then her master, Tengu, comes home
He is mad that Luffy ate the rice
O Tama hasn’t eaten in a few days, he says
She works hard daily for money and ignores her hunger
For her 8th birthday, he sent her to get some rice so he could feed it to her
He is angry that Luffy has eaten all that rice
O Tama comes back and tries to smooth things over but collapses instead. Luffy is shocked.
Tengu says the water from the river is polluted by Kaido’s factory and it made her sick
She can move to a better place but she stays to keep her promise to Ace
Scene change, the star performer is Basil Hawkins
He tells his subordinates to cut off communications and head towards Kuri, but not tell Kaido

Luffy recalls all the events that lead him to this point. Before he got dragged into the whirlpool, Luffy inflates his stomach, and Sanji carries everyone else and jumps on Luffy’s inflated stomach to jump as high as possible. Luffy attempts to escape as well, but the octopus hangs on Luffy, seemingly begging him to not leave behind. And as a result Luffy was the only one who got dragged into the whirlpool. Luffy also lost the vivre card that he hid in his straw hat.
From the forest where the Komainu came from, a girl is captured villains. The girl is a servant of the evil Kozuki family, so she will either be sold or will receive a imprisonment judgment. They discover the Sunny. The baboon who was hired as their bodyguard is fighting against the Komainu. They use the dendenmushi to contact to the “shinuchi”.
They try to use anesthesia to capture Luffy. Once they point the gun at Luffy, he punches them. They order the baboon to ignore the Komainu for now, and attack Luffy first. But Luffy glares at the baboon, and the baboon gets scared and surrenders. The girl uses this opportunity and attack the man from the back with a club. The girl’s name is Otama. She uses some ability to create a Kibidango from her cheeks, and gives it to the baboon. Until now, the baboon was ferocious towards the girl, but it gets attached to the girl after he was given the Kibidango. Luffy is impressed and thinks that’s a useful ability.
According to Tama, this placed is called Kunori (or Kuzato). While she was shopping in the town, she was found by the men with the baboon. And in order to rescue her, the Komainu stood up for her. After all her belongings were taken away from her, she said, “Remember this when the Kozuki family is back!” But this phrase is a huge sin in Wano. After Luffy says he’s hungry, Otama takes him to her home. The food that Otama gave Luffy was too little and he gets disappointed. Tama lies and says she needs to go to the washroom. She goes to a river right beside her home, and drinks from the river and overcome her hunger. Meanwhile, Otama’s master, Tengu enters the house. Tengu gets furious after he sees Luffy eating the rice. He says that Otama hasn’t eaten anything for days. Otama was creating Kasa everyday to earn some coins. She only ate Japanese millet. But at least during New Year or during her birthday, Tengu wanted her to eat rice, so she made her go to the town to buy rice. And Luffy ate all of that rice, and Tengu is angered. While Luffy is shocked hearing that, Otama comes back and tries to get in between them, but she collapses. According to Tengu, the river got dirty because of Kaidou’s factory, and Otama collapsed because she drunk from the river. She could have moved on to a better place, but in order to keep the promise she made with Ace, she stayed here.
[Scene changes]
“Shinuchi” also known as Hawkins talks to his underlings. He heads to Kunori, but tells his underlings not to say anything to Kaidou just yet.
