2nd Diabolik Lovers Season’s Cast, Staff, Title, Fall Premiere Unveiled

The official Twitter account for the Diabolik Lovers anime announced on Wednesday that the second season will premiere this fall under the title Diabolik Lovers More, Blood. Diabolik Lovers More, Blood is also the title of the fan disc follow-up to the first PSP game from Otomate (Idea Factory, Rejet).

The first season’s assistant director Risako Yoshida replaces Shinobu Tagashira as the main director at the studio ZEXCS, and Hiroko Kanasugi (My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy) also replaces Seiko Nagatsu as the series script supervisor. However, character designer Yuuko Yahiro (B Gata H Kei – Yamada’s First Time, Lady Jewelpet) is returning to adapt Satoi‘s game illustrations.

Also returning are the main cast members:

  • Rie Suegara as Yui Komori
  • Hikaru Midorikawa as Ayato Sakamaki
  • Yuuki Kaji as Kanato Sakamaki
  • Daisuke Hirakawa as Raito Sakamaki
  • Kousuke Toriumi as Shū Sakamaki
  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Reiji Sakamaki
  • Takashi Kondo as Subaru Sakamaki

Joining the main cast are Takahiro Sakurai as Ruki Mukami (center in image above), Ryohei Kimura as Kou Mukami (far right), Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Yūma Mukami (bottom left), Daisuke Kishioas Azusa Mukami (far left), and others. They play the Mukami vampire brothers who first appeared in the Diabolik Lovers More, Blood fan disc.

Rejet‘s original Diabolik Lovers vampire drama CD and PSP game project centers around the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers. Yui Komori is a positive-thinking girl who nevertheless is troubled by seeing spirits and experiencing poltergeist phenomena. In her second year in high school, she transfers to a new school — a night school for entertainers and celebrities — due to her father’s work. There are rumors that there are vampires among the student body, and Yui ends up living with the Sakamaki brothers.

The studio ZEXCS adapted the franchise into the first television anime season in 2013, andCrunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.

Sentai Filmworks released the first television anime season on DVD with an English dub and subtitles in December. The franchise is also inspiring a stage play which will run in Tokyo in August.
