A lot of hit anime series will be coming back for another run next year. The list includes the much anticipated second installments of hit action series “Attack on Titan” and “One Punch Man.” Some new anime which just aired this year will also be making a comeback including “My Hero Academia” and “Tales of Zestiria the X.”

“Attack On Titan” Season 2

This has been pushed back several times but hopefully, “Attack on Titan” season 2 will start airing in April 2017. The much-awaited second installment of this action series is expected to answer questions such as the origin of the titans and the corruption happening within the government.

“One Punch Man” Season 2

Our most-beloved bald super hero will be back for a second run. Ever since “One Punch Man” season 2 was reported to be airing early next year, many plot speculations have been circulating on the internet from potential villains to possible appearance of Saitama’s siblings. The latest rumor says Saitama will turn to be the antagonist in the upcoming seasons.

“Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation”

The seniors are out and the new generation of cycling maniacs will take over the rivalry in the third season of the hit biking anime titled “Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation.” The series is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 9. Previously, the series revealed visuals for the new line-up of Sohoku and Hakone High School.

“Blue Exorcist” Season 2

Also this January 2017 is the second season of “Blue Exorcist” focusing on the Impure King arc entitled, “Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen.” Rin will find it hard to deal with his classmates after they found out that he is the son of Satan and someone is trying to revive the impure King.

“My Hero Academia” Season 2

After the 13-episode series ended this June, “My Hero Academia” (“Boku no Hero Academia”) immediately teased a season 2. The second installment is expected to start from the U.A. Sports Festival arc from the original manga.

“Tales Of Zestiria The X” Season 2

Another rather fast announcement was “Tales of Zestiria the X” season 2. The production unveiled a teaser with the text: “The journey of the shepherd is not over,” right after the last episode from the first season. Most of the cast members are returning for the sequel, but Miyu Matsuki who passed away this November will be replaced by Noriko Shitaya as Lailah.

“Steins: Gate 0”

“Steins Gate” is coming back with a spin-off. Titled “Steins: Gate 0,” the spin-off is adapted from a visual novel of the same title that will follow the events before the true ending of the original story. The series will feature what happened in the Beta Attractor Field’s future which will contribute a lot to the true ending of the original story. No specific broadcast schedule is announced yet.

“The Seven Deadly Sins” Season 2

Princess Elizabeth will continue her quest to find the Sacred Knights to regain the Liones Kingdom in “Nanatsu no Tanzai” (“The Seven Deadly Sins”) season 2. This was originally rumored for release in 2016 but fans were treated with a four-episode original video animation instead.
