Grand Theft Auto 6 Will Be Set In Mexico City & Miami but Not Tokyo

Fans were really hyped up for this year’s E3 as many expected some big revelation from Rockstar regarding Grand Theft Auto 6 but, nothing really happened, and Rockstar is currently busy for their new upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2, so it seems that Grand Theft Auto 6 will take few years to come out. GTA 5 already sold over 90 million copies, and it has stacked up of over 10 billion revenue, so deep down the line, they have to be preparing GTA 6. If you remember, Yan2295, a Rockstar insider claimed of having a secret document which confirms that GTA 6 is already under production, and it also contained the list of possible locations for the upcoming game which included, Mexico City, Chicago, 70s Vegas and few more.

Yan has recently confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be located in Miami with a lot of side missions based in Mexico City. Yan is pretty popular for leaking information about past GTA games which turn out to be 100% being correct.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Date

Yan’s leak got a major boost when a Youtube channel which goes by the name of ‘The Know,’ also said that GTA 6 would be set in Vice City and South America. According to ‘The Know,’ GTA 6 began its production back in 2016, and it will be releasing in 2019.

The final credible source, TechRadar also claimed that GTA 6 began its production in 2016, and the initial location for the game was set in Tokyo but, they had to change the plan due to Tokyo’s complex road system and for being a different culture.
