Yomiuri Shimbun has announced the winners for the 2016 edition of their annual Sugoi Japan Awards. The winners of these awards are works which fans feel that need foreign attention, and should be used to promote Japan. The categories are divided into anime, manga, light novels, and entertainment novels, and here are the winners:

These works were selceted out of 92 entries, which were then voted on by both fans and industry experts alike. Thye works nominated must have potential to become international hits in order to be considered. Last year, Attack on Titan won for the manga category, Madoka Magica won for the anime category, and My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU won for the LN category.
