10 One Piece Characters Who Fought Against A Yonko

The Yonko are the four most feared and strongest pirates in the world. As a result, there aren’t many Pirates or Marines on earth that would dare challenge them, however; there are some crazy ones who have and the list here highlights these brave and slightly stupid characters that have faced a Yonko in One Piece.

10. Gecko Moria

Gecko is a former Shichibukai who has fought against the Yonkō Kaido when he was a rookie. Sadly Gecko lost the battle which lasted three days and later rallied a crew to take out Kaido as revenge.

9. Dracule Mihawk

Mihawk is the greatest swordsmen in the world and was the rival of Shanks, captain of the Red-Haired Pirates. Being Shanks’ rival, the two have faced many times, which means that he has faced a Yonko, as Shanks is a Yonko.

8. Brook

Brook is the musician of the Straw-Hat Pirates who took on Big Mom early in the Whole Cake Island arc. Brook is the new Soul King but was unable to defeat a Yonko that even the great Pirate King in Gol D. Roger feared facing.

7. Akainu

Akainu is a former Admiral in the Marines and is the current Fleet Admiral. During the War of Marineford, Akainu fought against the Yonko Whitebeard. Somehow, Akainu was able to survive the battle and even managed to inflict serious injuries on the legendary pirate.

6. Blackbeard

Teach is the captain of the Blackbeard Pirates and is now a Yonko himself, however, during the time before Blackbeard became a Yonko, the pirate challenged Whitebeard many times. Blackbeard now has two Devil Fruit powers and is one of the most dangerous pirates in the world.

5. Sengoku

Sengoku was the former Fleet Admiral of the Marines, who fought against Blackbeard and participated in the War of Marineford. Sengoku was able to beat overpower Blackbeard with his crew, even with Teach having two Devil Fruit powers.

4. Eustass Captain Kidd

Kidd is the captain of the Kidd Pirates, and is one of the members of the Worst Generation. We know that Kidd has fought against Kaido and was horribly beaten by the man who is said to be invincible.

3. Kizaru

Kizaru is a Marine Admiral who fought against the Yonkō Whitebeard. Their battle wasn’t that long and the fight didn’t really have a winner but both were able to inflict some damage on each other.

2. Crocodile

Crocodile was the first man to really beat Luffy and is arguably one of the most dangerous men in the world. When Crocodile was a still a rookie, he challenged Whitebeard to a fight in which Crocodile and later did the same in the Marineford War, however, Corcodile was beaten both times.

At the time he might have not been a Yonko but the Straw-Hat captain in Monkey D. Luffy was able to take on Blackbeard. Even though Blackbeard wasn’t a Yonko, he was still an incredibly powerful pirate at the time.
