20 Best Anime Of All Time – 2018 List

A massive poll was conducted by Japan TV Station NHK and they shared the results of this where they asked anime fans best anime of all time. Around 600,000 votes were cast from around 10,000 anime series. Fans have voted for their favorite anime series, and we picked top 20 anime and made a list of 20 Best Anime Of All Time. Let’s start with the list.

20. Sword Art Online

Based on Light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by Abec. The series takes place in the near future and focuses on protagonist Kazuto “Kirito” Kirigaya and Asuna Yuuki as they play through various virtual reality MMORPG worlds. The light novels began publication on ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint from April 10, 2009, with a spin-off series launching in October 2012. A very famous anime, based on virtual reality. Sword Art Online takes the 20th spot on the list.

19. Psycho-Pass

Cyberpunk anime television series produced by Production I.G. It was co-directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani and Katsuyuki Motohiro and written by Gen Urobuchi, with character designs by Akira Amano featuring music by Yugo Kanno. The original Japanese cast includes Kana Hanazawa as Akane Tsunemori, Tomokazu Seki as Shinya Kogami, and Takahiro Sakurai as Shogo Makishima. The series was aired on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block between October 2012 and March 2013.Psycho-Pass is set in a world where machines control almost everything. It is one of the best psychological anime around, so it’s not surprising to see this anime take the 19th spot.

Also known as the first season of Digimon: Digital Monsters outside Japan, This anime television series created by Akiyoshi Hongo and produced by Toei Animation in cooperation with WiZ, Banda, and Fuji Television. It is the first anime installment in the Digimon media franchise, based on the virtual pet of the same name. The series features a group of children who are transported to another world called the “Digital World”, where each of them is partnered with a Digimon and become the “DigiDestined”. Digimon Adventure is a Fantasy/Adventure anime set in a place called Digiworld. Not everybody would like it, but it takes the 18th spot on the list.

It’s a sequel to anime named Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion its an another Classic makes the list. The series was directed by Gorō Taniguchi who has also worked with Ichirō Ōkouchi on the script. The characters were conceived by Clamp and designed by Takahiro Kimura.[1] R2 takes place a year after the events of the first series. The coup d’état by the Black Knights, led by the protagonist, Lelouch vi Britannia, ended in failure and resulted in Lelouch’s capture and brainwashing. Since then, the coup has been referred to as the Black Rebellion. I probably don’t need to explain the plot for this one. But, if you haven’t watched it, you should.

Sorachi added the science fiction setting to develop characters to his liking after his editor suggested doing a historical series. Gintama is one of the funniest anime out there, and even if you exclude that, it is an amazing anime. I won’t spoil the plot, but it is a must watch.

However, the Second League heroes are widely unsuccessful in their tasks, as Barnaby is the only one able to bring petty criminals to justice. As Kotetsu express his doubts of doing hero work while his Hundred Power is declining, the Second League is also in trouble as the ongoing losses are forcing Apollon Media to consider cutbacks.
