“Bakuman” Movie Poster and Date Revealed

A new poster and October 3rd release date have debuted for the live-action adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s Shonen Jump manga about making manga, Bakuman. Hitoshi Ōne, who previously directed the live-action adaptation of Mitsurou Kubo manga Moteki, helms the movie with Takeru Satoh (live-action Kenshin’s Kenshin) as Moritaka Mashiro and Ryunosuke Kamiki (live-action Kenshin’s Sōjirō Seta) as Akito Takagi.

Shota Sometani (lead in the live-action Parasyte) is rival Eiji Nizuma. Discussing the role last fall, he talked up working with a special inking pen for the filming and promised some fun CG battle scenes to go with the human drama.
