Boruto: Naruto the movie gets new illustrated poster, Boruto and Sarada designs

We now know that The Last: Naruto the movie really ain’t the last Naruto movie because his son, Boruto, will be getting his own animated feature. The 19th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine will be unveiling more information about the movie, and it includes a new poster visual with Boruto and Naruto, now the 7th Hokage.

In the poster, Boruto announces “Watch me old man!”, as a message to his father. The issue also reveals new character design images for Boruto and Sarada, the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura, who we last saw stalking Boruto in Naruto’s final chapter.

The movie will make its premiere in Japan on August 7, 2015, however, there is still no news about its international distribution. Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, will be in charge of the script and character design while Naruto Shippuuden episode director, Hiroyuki Yamashita will be the director. The issue also revealed that the voice actors for Boruto and Sarada will be revealed in the next issue (issue #20) of Weekly Shounen Jump!, out April 13, 2015.

The movie will be part of the Naruto’s New Era Opening Project which also includes the new live action stage play which will also hit Singapore and Malaysia.
