Boruto: Naruto the Movie Story Preview

Borutage to the max!! Constantly! A brand new scan of Boruto: Naruto the Movie has been released from the 26th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and it previews a small bit of information on the story.

Boruto is the son of the 7th Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father. Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father’s friend Sasuke, and requests to become… his apprentice!? The curtain on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto rises!

Could Boruto somehow be a lightning style user, with Naruto as his dad and Hinata as his mother? We’re not sure about that, but the words “Borutage” are written across the scan as a play of sorts on Boruto’s name, which means “bolt” and the English word “voltage”. If Boruto was somehow a lightning style user, we think Sasuke would be the perfect teacher!

The scan also mentions Boruto does not want to be Hokage and that Sasuke acknowledges Boruto is different from Naruto. Sarada, on the other hand, is excited to show off her skills to Naruto. In regards to the boy who there is a sketch of, Mitsuki (who we’ve seen in the Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring manga), it just mentions he is a composed, mysterious boy and poses the question “who exactly is he!?”
