Directed by Goro Taniguchi, the first episode of the series was aired 11 years ago. The producing studio announced the revival of the hit anime and revealed that they are coming for the CG season 3.

On the 10th anniversary celebrations of the series, a special event was organised and the title of the event was Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: Anniversary of a Miracle. The event includes the teasers and spoilers for the upcoming season of the series.

The teaser made it clear that another season will come definitely in future. After the event, a promo/trailer was also available on the web. It showed the main characters of the series like CC, Suzaku Kururugi, Jeremiah Gottwald, Cornelia Li Britannia, and Kallen Kouzuki.

Additionally, a three-part film series was also revealed in the event. And recently, the first CG film promo was out and the title of the same is CodeGeass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Episode I. The promo of the same is below.

Though, after that event, there is no official update regarding the premiere date of the third season. This is clear that the production has already begun. But, as per the expectations of the critics, it will come at the end of this year or in early 2019.

In the last episode of the second season, Lelouch was seen dying. But the trailer of the third instalment, he is alive with good physical appearance. The next instalment of the series will feature Lelouch will be sitting on the Holy Brittania Empire throne.

He had made solely promise to destroy the throne. The story of the new season will revolve around the Lelouch’s adventurous journey for saving the world from the wars that could happen between various superpowers.

Lelouch will get the support from an organisation, Order of the Black Knights and the Brittania Empire to save the world. He will be working to clear the confusions which are set in the world. Later, a new terrorist group came into the picture which is creating the friction between the superpowers of the world.

For the fans, it will be a somewhat different story. For them, the world constitutes of three superpowers which include the Holy Brittania Empire, the Chinese Federation, and the European Union.

There is another character in the anime, Nunnally, sister of Lelouch who suffered a trauma because of her mother’s death. Due to which she can’t walk or see the world. Lelouch enrols himself to the Ashford Academy to clean the Brittania.

Code Geass Season 3 Trailer reveals Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection). Lelouch is confirmed to be alive and will make a giant comeback. Season 3 of Code Geass takes place a few years after the ending of Code Geas R2 Season 2 and the events of Zero Requiem. Code Geass R3 Season 3 has no release date but we expect late 2017 or 2018.
