Back in 2015, mangaka Sakurako Gokurakuin ended her popular ecchi harem manga, Sekirei, after starting it back in 2004. Now however, the series is making a comeback! According to a wraparound jacket band around Vol. 2 of her Brave Star ☆ Romantics manga, they revealed that Sekirei is returning as a regular series.
According to the jacket, Sekirei will resume in this year’s 10th issue of Young Gangan magazine, due out on May 2. It further teases “One year with his girlfriend gone. One year until she returns.”
The manga had two anime adaptations, one in 2008, and another one in 2010. It ended its original run back in 2010 , and according to the announcement, is making its comeback this May 2017.
