Boruto is still trying to fill the void created by its predecessor, Naruto. It is still trying to make a name for itself among readers. The series recently got way more interesting as fans saw the introduction of a major antagonist in the latest arc.

Also, the manga just killed off one well-known shinobi from Naruto which fans can’t just overlook. Before going any further let me tell you that this will contain spoilers so read at your own risk.

Shueisha recently published the new chapter of Boruto. The update caught up with Team 7 as the squad’s fight with Ao raged on. Ao chose to give up his life as a ninja due to several injuries he suffered during the fourth great ninja world.

He then decided to be a member of the organization, Kara and also, he was ready to die for them.

Readers witnessed Ao’s fall in the recent chapter 22. After fighting for quite some time, when Boruto managed to defeat Ao. He refused to kill Ao and with his words he was able to sway Ao’s heart.However, team 7 failed to bring Ao back to hidden leaves as Kara’s leading member attacked Ao out of nowhere. Kasin Koji summoned his massive Boiler Toad to get rid of Ao for good along with Boruto.

However, Ao managed to save Boruto by pushing him with his jutsu. He sacrificed himself for him and got crushed under the toad. Koji’s toad completely crushed Ao’s body except for his head.Still, it is not official that Ao died, but his injuries are too critical. Things are not looking good for Ao especially considering the injuries Team 7 gave him.

According to fans, if he manages to make it out alive then, it would mean that he has more vitality than Obito. But fans don’t think Koji will let him live.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a Japanese manga series written by Ukyō Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. It is a spin-off and a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto, which follows the exploits of Naruto Uzumaki’s son, Boruto Uzumaki, and his ninja team.

The anime started as a prequel before Boruto, and his friends become ninjas in a later part of the story.
