Last month, Monthly Shonen Sunday teased a big announcement for Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san. It’s getting a second anime season, but no release window was shared.
Souichirou launched the popular rom-com in 2013, which has amassed more than 4 million copies in print. It follows the playful teasing between Takagi and Nishikata. One day, Nishikata vows to make Takagi blush, but she always twists his attempts. But, could there be something more to the teasing?
Shin-Ei Animation produced season 1, which debuted last January.
The one thing missing from the announcement was the Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 2 release date. However, it’s possible the second season could come out by late 2019 or early 2020.
Presumably, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san Season 2 will adapt the main manga series, which is currently up to Volume 9. The first anime season covered less than half of the available manga chapters but adapted them out of order.
Fans of the series are hoping the second season will touch on Chapter 31, which is directly connected to the spin-off Karakai Jouzu (Moto) no Takagi-san manga. Unfortunately, just explaining what the Moto manga’s story is about is a spoiler in itself
