One of the Worst Generation will rise to be the next Pirate King! ⋆ Anime & Manga

BIG NEWS Morgans stated in chapter 901 that “one” of the Worst Generation will rise up to become the next Pirate King.

While this applies very well to someone like Luffy, who’s action constantly shake the World, I don’t think the other members of that Worst Generation deserve to stand on the same pedestal. I mean, the only candidates for Pirate King from the perspective of someone in the One Piece World are Blackbeard, for rising to the top so quickly and Luffy, for constantly challenging the World Government and shaking the World to its very core.

Now Blackbeard has set himself apart by being a Yonko, but Luffy’s feats include defeating 3 Warlords of the sea, defeating CP9, infiltrating and coming back from Impel Down, Enies Lobby, Marineford and Whole Cake Island. His presence in the Marineford War almost changed the tide of the war, which did not go unnoticed by the entire world. He has saved entire countries twice. At this point adding his lineage factor seems redundant. Not to mention that each and everyone in his crew(except Chopper) has gained enough notoriety for themselves to be acknowledged as significant threats by the World Government.

My point of stating all these feats of Luffy is to ask what could the rest of Supernovas have possibly done to still be considered relevant in the race of becoming the Pirate King alongside Luffy and Blackbeard? Maybe the fact that Law was an “accomplice” to take down a Shichibukai, he might be considered relevant.

But I don’t see what the others could’ve possibly done to rival Luffy’s feats. Best I know are Eustass Kid and Urouge that tried to attack Big Mom Pirates but got defeated easily. Kid is infamous for killing innocent civilians but that doesn’t make him a proper candidate for future Pirate King. And then there are those like X Drake and Apoo who have allied themselves with a Yonko, thereby losing their own independent identity.
