Hey everyone! Today, I wanna talk about the return of one of the most important characters in One Piece. Before I begin, I wanna warn you all about the potential spoilers that this post might have. So, please continue at your own risk. Let’s get straight to the topic here. One Piece never kills of any characters, unless it is essential to the story. Ace died to make Luffy stronger.

Whitebeard died to change the era. These are characters who you know won’t be returning. However, the rest of the characters, those who are still alive somewhere, all have a chance to return to the series. Eiichiro Oda likes to bring back old characters, and that’s great. But even then, there are some characters who are far more important than the rest.

For example, if you talk about Marco the Phoenix, we all know he’s going to return somewhere in the future of the story. Today, I don’t want to talk about Marco’s return. Rather, I want to talk about the return of Crocodile. Crocodile was once a major antagonist in the world of One Piece. He wanted to destroy Alabasta, and find the Ancient Weapon called Pluton. But, he was defeated by Luffy.

Later, he appeared at Impel Down, and then, he played a huge role in the War of Marineford. He even protected Luffy, and Ace at Marineford. After Marineford, he left for the New World. Luffy and Crocodile have to face each other again in the New World, that goes without saying in my opinion. Recently, Oda even drew a cover with Crocodile somehere in the New World, which is a huge hint that he’ll reappear soon.

But, when and where we’ll Crocodile reappear? When you look at it, Crocodile’s aim to was to get the Pluton. The Pluton is one of the Three Ancient Weapons that we know will be relevant to the story in the future. It might even be relevant as soon as the War of Wano Country. I think Crocodile will appear in Wano, not as an enemy, but as an ally. I don’t think he’ll be an enemy once more. At Marineford, he redeemed himself.

We all know Kaido had some connection to Whitebeard. Crocodile, similarly, had a connection to Whitebeard as well. Whitebeard’s past will be looked into at Wano, and that’s why I believe Crocodile will be relevant to the story at Wano. Further, the squad that was once at Marineford will again reunite at Wano. Oda loves taking references from pre timeskip, so I think we’re definitely going to see them once again. But that’s just my opinion.
