After getting a hit TV anime, as well as a live-action TV drama, it looks like Akira Hiramoto’s Prison School manga is coming to an end. According to the combined 2nd and 3rd issue of Young Magazine, the popular school manga will be releasing its final chapter in the magazine’s next issue, which will be on December 25, 2017, Christmas day.
Hiramoto’s manga has already entered its final arc earlier this year, with the same issue containing its penultimate chapter. The mangaka launched the manga back in 2011, and never looked back ever since. It now has more than 7.5 million copies in print. Here’s how Yen Press, which releases the manga in English, describes its story:
Hachimitsu Private Academy was a revered and elite all-girls’ boarding school on the outskirts of Tokyo…once upon a time. But with the new school year comes a revision to school policy: Boys are to be admitted into the student body for the first time ever. But on his first day at Hachimitsu, Kiyoshi Fujino discovers that he’s one of only five boys enrolled at the school. Their numbers overwhelmed by the thousand girls in the student body, is it heaven or hell that awaits these five (un)fortunates?!
