It’s always fascinating to discover the real-life locations that were used as inspiration for your favourite anime series.
… and now it’s time to add One Punch Man to your pilgrimage list!
The city of Setegaya is a special ward in Japan that was used as inspiration for Z-City, the home of Saitama, Genos and several other superheros who defend the city from mysterious beings.
We recently had the opportunity to explore the location and shared images from our trip with One Punch Man fans around the world. You may recognise some of these spectacular images from episode two of the series.
Saitama’s apartment is located in Setagaya near the Shuginami Campus of the famous Meiji University.
If you are planning on visiting the area yourself, the easiest way to get there is from Meidaimae Station on the Keio line, which is a 30 minutes from the centre of Tokyo.
