Spiritual Energy in One Piece

We’ve already seen some people use attacks infused with elements like Fire Water Earth Electricity.

So what is Spiritual Energy?
This allows the User to create and manipulate their own or others spiritual power, which is generated by every sentient being that possesses a soul.
They can also convert it into various forms of energy, manifest it into solid form or merge into existing objects using it as a beacon to channel them.
Some attack styles like Electro and Fish Man Karate are also require the user to be able to channel them.

Through Sprits
Let’s talk about Luffy’s “Red Hawk”

When Luffy used it against Hody we saw Ace. I think that Spiritual Energy for the attack where Luffy can channel Fire is through Ace.
Like I said before “the User can create their own or others spiritual Power”. “Red Hawk” is Luffy channeling Ace.

WATER
“Fishman Karate” is a martial art that is practiced by certain skilled members which is based on
“Water Manipulation”.

How does Jinbe channel water?
Jinbe also displayed that Fish Man Karate can be used effectively on land as he can utilize the water in the atmosphere and make use of it to attack.
Others with this ability to use Fishman Karate include Hody Jones, Hack and Koala even though she is human proving that humans can also master this ability.

FIRE
Sanji’s Signature attack style “Diable Jamble” meaning the “Leg of the Devil” of which he has multiple attacks.

How does Sanji channel Fire?
Remember Sanji had an attack called “Hell Memories”.
In order to do this, after closing his eyes and remembering his painful time in Kamabakka Kingdom, Sanji immediately becomes enraged and his whole body catching fire.
This means the more angry he gets the stronger his attacks are and Sanji’s Diable Jamble attacks are Hell themed attacks so there’s a huge possibility of him being able to summon Hell Fire.
Sanji channels Fire through Rage.
Others who can channel Fire:
• Monkey D. Luffy
• “Foxfire” Kin’emon
• Charlotte Linlin “Big Mom”
• Heat

WIND
Sabo uses “Ryusoken” a right hand based martial art style which translates to “Dragon Claw”.
He has a move called “Dragon’s Breath”.

Sabo puts his clenched fists into the ground then pushes them into the floor creating an immense impact. This technique was first used to completely destroy the arena in the Corrida Colosseum.
How does Sabo channel Wind?
It was never revealed it but it’s possibly due to his fighing style is focused on channeling wind which allows him channel wind.

ELECTRICITY
Luffy does not have a specific attack style, he has Gears but let’s look at “Elephant Gun” which is due to Gear 3. Luffy is able to do an advanced version of Gear 3 “Elephant Gun” called “Thor Elephant Gun”.

The attack differs from a regular Elephant Gun in that Luffy launches himself into the air with Gomu Gomu no Rocket first, before striking, discharging electricity when it lands.
How does Luffy channel Electricity?
Ok it’s not discharge due to his Devil Fruit. Luffy learned how to channel Fire so it’s possible that Luffy also learned how to channel Electricity and is able to use a variation of it called “Lightning Bolt Projection” which allows Luffy to project them from his hands using them to pierce or severely burn their opponents.
Shown when he did it in the Mirror World where his only option was to create it by himself.
Fact: Luffy’s Lighting Attacks are Yellow exactly like the Lightning Strike Dragon called in order to save Luffy.
Unlike Electro used by the Mink which is Blue. As we know, Minks have a fighting style called “Electro” which was focused on specifically “channeling Electricity”.

How does Minks channel Electricity?
They can channel Electricity through parts of their bodies in order to shock anything they touch. Others that can channel Electricity:
• Lightning McGuy
• Charlotte Linlin “Big Mom”

People who have the ability to control Multiple Elements:
Monkey D. Luffy (Ability to channel both Electricity and Fire) & Charlotte Linlin – (Electricity and Fire – Zeus and Prometheus)

Though Luffy can channel 2 different elements, there are 3 people which I believe can channel more allowing them the manipulate their environment.
This allows them to change the Weather.
How do they do this?
There are 4 Factors for Weather Manipulation:
• Air – via Wind manipulation
• Electricity -via channeling Electricity
• Thermal – via Thermal manipulation
• Water – via channeling Water

There are only 3 people who had done or are suspected to possess this ability:

1-MONKEY D. DRAGON

Dragon has shown on multiple occasions that he can control the weather, summon lightning and manipulate the Weather.
He’s also shown that he can manipulate air pressure and temperature.

“The air pressure and temperatures been dropping for the past while now”.
Dragon is most likely a master of this ability as he possesses the power to do this from a distance and at will and doesn’t require concentration.
Dragon most likely has his personal weather as the weather automatically changes around him.

2-GOL D. ROGER
Recall the Events of the Edd War

He was saved by a sudden freak weather storm!
Is it possible that the Pirate King Gol D. Roger was able to manipulate his environment like the Weather ability of Dragon.
Why it was not a sudden weather storm:
• It only destroyed Shiki’s Fleet while Roger’s Ship wasn’t damaged.

3-SHANKS
So Shanks? Yes. Recall what happened when Shanks met Whitebeard.
When Shanks came on to the Moby Dick he was using Conqueror’s Haki to an extent that it even damaged the ship but this was not the only impressive thing he did.
During their conversation

Look at the background. Clear blue sky. Its a beautiful day.
This was just the beginning of their conversation. It got heated up later on

Now look at the background, this is similar to how Dragon changes the weather but he didn’t make it rain or use a burst of wind.
Why did he do it?
It’s highly speculated that Shanks can summon Red Lightning with his Sword but the fact that he used a variation of weather manipulation called Thunder Cloud Manipulation where user can create thunderclouds = exactly what Shanks did before he clashed with Whitebeard. This means that he only did that as a precaution if he had to go all out against Whitebeard and Oda just teased this
But Shanks was not forced to use this (but he has the ability to use this in Pirate Warriors 3).
