Every now and then you see lists about the strongest characters in a particular series. But no one ever talks about the weakest characters, well because they are weak. However today I have made a list which contains the weakest characters in the Naruto series.

10. Nawaki-

Nawaki was the younger brother of Tsunade Senju. He is without a doubt a disgraceful shinobi. Killed by explosive tag, he is the weakest Senju in the series. I really don’t know why he is a character.

He was the younger brother of Tsunade and the grandson of Hashirama and Mito. He was also the grandnephew of Tobirama. He shared his dream of becoming Hokage with his sister on his twelfth birthday, who gave him their grandfather’s necklace in the hopes that it would help him achieve his dream. The day after his birthday, Nawaki died in battle after running into an explosive trap. When Tsunade rushed to him, Orochimaru noted that his body was so heavily mutilated that it was beyond recognition. The necklace was retrieved by Orochimaru and returned to a devastated Tsunade.

9. Ebisu-

He is a tokubestu Jōnin of the Hidden Leaf. He was appointed to take care of Konohamaru and teach him the basics of becoming a shinobi. However, it didn’t work so great well… basically he is useless and weak.

Ebisu is an elite trainer who has an extensive knowledge in basic to advanced forms of ninja skills. According to Kakashi, Ebisu is one of the most skilled trainers in Konoha, further emphasised from the fact that he was personally selected to train Konohamaru for the Academy, and was chosen by Kakashi to train Naruto for the Chūnin Exams. While never shown using ninjutsu in the manga, in the anime, he is able to use the Shadow Clone Technique, and could use Fire Release to perform the Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet. Ebisu was also shown to be capable in taijutsu, evidenced during his battle against the Naraka Path.

8. Iruka Umino-

Iruka is the father like figure for our hero, Naruto Uzumaki. He teaches at the Academy and he can barely do anything else apart from that. He’s great character but when it comes to power he’s weak. As a head instructor of the Academy, Iruka is clearly proficient in all forms of basic ninja skills. He has some skill with Barrier Ninjutsu, using it mostly for binding purposes, like the String Light Formation, which he used on Naruto in hopes of keeping him from escaping from the island, and in the anime, the Sealed Binding Formation, which he used successfully on Mizuki. Iruka is also very perceptive, as he can assess situations carefully and quickly while under threat. He is capable of using Fire, Water, and Yin Release.

7. Hinata Hyūga-

One of the most overhyped characters of all time. She is weak. She’s weaker than Kiba’s Akamaru. Hinata can barely do anything on her own and requires support all the time. So, she’s a parasite who just drains out the other people. She was even beaten by her little sister.

Hinata’s gentle personality hindered her performance in the Hyūga clan’s training sessions, which caused her father to deem her as too weak and unworthy for the role of heiress. After graduating from the Academy, she focused on getting stronger by putting more effort into her training, receiving consistent praise from her team for her improving skills and strengthening character. Hinata thus becomes more willing to face major threats for the sake of others, such as the Deva Path during Pain’s Assault in order to protect Naruto Uzumaki, which causes Naruto to acknowledge her strength, During the Fourth Shinobi World War, she could even protect Neji as well as he protected her on the battlefield. Two years after the war, Hinata, having been recognized by Hamura Ōtsutsuki as the Byakugan Princess, proves to be crucial in the destruction of the Tenseigan.

6. Kiba Inuzuka-

Kiba is a member of the Inazuka Clan. He teams up with his canine, Akamaru. Both Akamaru and his master, are weak. I think Kishimoto just put him in the show for jests. Kiba is not that great at all. Kiba’s fighting style revolves around collaboration techniques alongside his companion Akamaru, but he can also perfectly synchronise with his teammates, as demonstrated with Naruto during their fight against Tobi. Due to his senses, as well as his partnership with Akamaru, he was the only genin to notice Anbu stationed in the Chūnin Exams arena. He also favours using military pills to increase his chakra and that of Akamaru’s, as well as smoke bombs, which robs the enemy of their vision, and due to his enhanced smell, has no problem pinpointing them. He could also use the smoke bombs to set up a trap, like creating a fake Akamaru that explodes and releases dozens of kunai, as seen during his fight against Ukon.

5. Mizuki-

Mizuki and shinobi should never be mentioned in the same bracket, that’s just how bad he is as a shinobi. Mizuki was beaten by Naruto when was just a little brat. Waste of a character. While being a chūnin indicates having capable skill, in the manga, not much of Mizuki’s skill was seen beyond proficiently wielding large shuriken, both as melee and throwing weapons. However, he claimed that he can use the Scroll of Seals to gain infinite power, showing confidence in his own potential.

4. Tenten-

Tenten didn’t do anything in the series except for fighting Kakuzu in the Fourth Great Ninja War. For destroying Kakuzu’s hearts, she needed one of the Sage Weapons and using them almost left her on the brink of death.

Tenten is a highly skilled and capable kunoichi; her skills being held in high regard by her team. By Part II, she became a chūnin, capable of pressuring the likes of Kisame Hoshigaki with the aid of her teammates. As an adult, she is considered to be Konoha’s top weapon user, and a kunoichi who excelled at space–time ninjutsu.

3. Dan Kato-

Dan has abused the line “I will become Hokage.” He was a pathetic character, nothing special at all and yet he dreamed of becoming a Hokage. The previous Hokage must be rolling in their graves after hearing him say that. Except his soul transfer technique, he was weak.

Not much is known of Dan’s abilities, but by all indications, he was a very capable and efficient ninja that served his village well. This is proven further when Kabuto Yakushi reincarnated him thinking that he’d be a valuable asset on the battlefield. Kakuzu referred to Dan and Asuma as gold and silver generals (a reference to shōgi pieces), again indicating that Dan was a powerful shinobi. In the anime, Dan demonstrated high-level taijutsu prowess along with great speed and evasive skills, being able to single-handedly disarm and defeat several enemies.

2. Kankuro

He’s the weakest out of the Sand siblings. Kankuro did improve somewhat in the Fourth Great Ninja War. But he just remained pure garbage for the majority of the series. So, he definitely had to be on the list.

Being one of the Fourth Kazekage’s children who underwent the gruelling training of Sunagakure, Kankurō became a highly skilled and capable shinobi. As a genin, he was able to kill Sakon and Ukon, the strongest members of the Sound Four. Kankurō’s skills improved considerably over the time-skip, becoming a jōnin and later being chosen to lead the Surprise Attack Division during the Fourth Shinobi World War. He has shown himself to be a capable leader, having his division set up a miniature headquarters before assigning individuals to various roles. In addition, he has shown the tactical sense to call a retreat when outmatched as well as attack accordingly, and synchronise skills with his teammates for the most appropriate outcome.

1. Udon-

Pretty useless. The only standout thing about him is how has he got a runny nose 24×7? Huge disappointment and definitely one of the weakest characters in the series. Although his full potential was never seen, the anime shows that he can use a special version of the Sexy Technique called Bouncy Bouncy Technique alongside Moegi and Konohamaru.
