UNEXPECTED GUESTS IN WANO ARC

Several theories I’ve heard point out the connection between Momonosuke and the Japanese folk tale Momotaro.

I won’t go into detail on the story itself, there are already theories out there that cover it, I’m more interested in the possible spin that could be put on the connection between them. What’s important to know is that there are a monkey, a dog, and a pheasant, who join forces to defeat some Ogres (oni). The connection I heard from Joy Boy in one of his videos involved Luffy being the Monkey, a Dog being Inuarashi from Zou, a pheasant being Marco the Phoenix, and Kaido as the Oni.

That all lines up and makes sense, but what if there’s more? The surprise I’m picturing involves the other monkey, dog, and pheasant in the story. The previous admiral code names. Akainu (red dog) Aoikiji (blue pheasant) and Kizaru (yellow monkey).

They would have grounds to be there because knowing Luffy just went to Whole Cake Island and got out gives them an opportunity to shut him down, but also because the Marines have tried and failed to kill Kaido several times, this all gives them an opportunity to do so.

If this is is an accurate speculation it would tie up the loose ends of this being Marineford 2.0. Which in addition to Oda’s comment about upcoming events making Marineford look cute, people (including me)believe this will be a similar situation with different outcome. We have:

1 – The Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance against the Yonko Kaido and the Shogun
2 – 2 current Admirals and 1 former Admiral
3 – Blackbeard ready to steal a devil fruit from a Yonko
4 – Shanks wanting to prevent senseless casualties
5 – The Straw Hat Grand Fleet to support Luffy
6 – The remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates led by Marco

Compared to Marineford Luffy isn’t weak anymore. He has trained a lot. He knows what he’s going up against picking a fight with a Yonko and coming out alive. And Shanks this time will fail to stop the War.
