Anime Series Like Oresuki – Are You The Only One Who Loves Me? - Best Anime Series Recommendation |List of Top Anime - Gamers,Hensuki,Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun | Crunchyroll & Netflix

Jouro is your average high school boy that dreams of a love story.
He is thrilled when he lines up two dates, but unfortunately, both girls
confess their love for his best friend. Of course, his friendly face is just a façade.
Schemer that he is, he decides to make his friend fall for one of the girls so
he can swipe the other. Unfortunately, his efforts are threatened by Pansy, a
gloomy girl who knows of his secret personality.

Ah, the old “every girl in this harem is terrible” with an equally terrible protagonist. Well, it is a great set up for a rom-com that tends to focus more on the “com” of it all. If you want more anime recommendations like Oresuki, then lets get going down below.

For Fans of Protagonists With Bad Personalities

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU

Hachiman Hikigaya firmly believes that a joyful youth is
something that people make up just to lie to themselves. After writing an essay
criticizing relationships, he is forced to join the Volunteer Service Club that
is aimed at helping others solve their problems. With the only other member
being the icy Yukino Yukinoshita, they use their wits and cold views on society
to help others.

Both protagonists in these series have a sort of snarky side to them. It is is certainly not the type you would expect to be caught up in a rom-com, but that is also part of the comedy.

oreshura anime

Oreshura

After being abandoned by his love-addled parents, Eita Kidou
is a bit put off by romance. It also causes him to see through the love
confession of one, Masuzu Natsukawa. As it turns out, she just wanted a
boyfriend to stop the daily love confessions. While he initially declines, she
takes to blackmailing him to be her fake boyfriend.

Both of these shows have an incredibly similar feel to them. Both involve a series of lies and show that love can lurk in unexpected places. Furthermore, the main character attracts an increasingly odd harem.

Watamote

Tomoko Kuroki is an expert dating sim player and avid fan of
anime, but no slice of life game could prepare her for her biggest challenge –
high school. As a budding hikikomori, Tomoko must overcome her anxiety and
social awkwardness in order to navigate normal life.

While Watamote isn’t a harem show, it is a solid comedy. It is just a very cringey one. The main character is painful to watch sometimes as she tries to find friends and someone to love her.

For Fans of Odd Harems

Kanade Amakusa’s high school life should have been normal.
Instead, he is cursed with Absolute Choice. This curse means that every so
often, he will be forced to make a choice, unfortunately, both choices are
often completely terrible and completely public.

Both series follow seemingly average characters that find themselves surrounded by increasingly odd female company. Some of them are normal, and some of them are pretty insane. However, Oresuki doesn’t have the same supernatural element to it.

Hensuki – Are you willing to fall in love with a pervert as long as she is cute?

Like every teen boy, Keiki wants a girlfriend. It seems his dreams might come true when he receives a love letter as well as a pair of white panties. He starts investigating who sent it, lining up a few candidates. However, this leads to him uncovering the various fetishes of each candidate.

If you remove the various oddities in the Oresuki girls and replace them with a weird fetish, this is what you would get.

Outburst Dreamer Boys

When Mizuki transfers to a new school, she just wants to
live a normal life. Unfortunately, she become intertwined with the boys of of
the Hero Club, with each member having their own odd chunibyou complex.

A reverse harem show, yes, but a harem of weirdos all the same. Each of the boys suffer from weeb delusions that make them troublesome. However, this is more of a series about friendship than romance.

For Fans of Comical Misunderstandings

anime series like gamers

Gamers

This is the tale of lonely Keita Amano who loves video games
and the video game club at his school that ardently tries to recruit him. While
each member of the club is distinctly different, they are all united through
their love of games.

Don’t be fooled by the games, the gaming themes take a back seat when this series dives into its rom-com plot. Like with Oresuki, the girls are strange and the comedy and romance often comes from misunderstandings.

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun anime

Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun

Chiyo Sakura has fallen head over heels for the handsome and
oblivious Umetarou Nozaki. However, when she confesses her love, he gives her
an autograph. It turns out this stoic boy is actually a respected shoujo manga
artist. After a series of misunderstandings, Chiyo winds up not as his
girlfriend, but as his manga assistant.

This whole show is about a misunderstanding. Unlike Oresuki and its various schemes, this series is about one girl trying to get the incredibly dense senpai to notice her.

anime like my first girlfriend is a gal

My First Girlfriend is a Gal

Although he has reached the spring of his youth, Junichi is
finding it harder than expected to get a girlfriend, but that is due in no
small part to his friends brazen habit of reading dirty mags in class. However,
in order to “help” him, his virgin friends submitted a love letter in
his name to the resident gal of his class, Yame Yukana. However, while she may
dress like a gal, this tough-looking girl is actually as pure as the snow.

Both shows have a very strong theme of girls being different than you would expect them to be based on their looks. While My First Girlfriend is a Gal has a lot more ecchi, it is still a great rom-com where much of the plot comes from a failure to understand each other..
