A recent online questionnaire administered by Anime! Anime! asked some 1500 fans to vote for the 2015 anime TV series that they felt most represented the concept of “subarashii”, meaning “splendid” or “magnificent”.
The polling took place from December 16 to December 23, 2015, and the respondents were allowed to pick up to 3 choices from the pool of shows that were on the air during the year of 2015. The results of the “Top 10 Most Magnificent Anime of 2015” were as follows:
10.) Prison School. (93 votes)
09.) Gintama. (96 votes)
08.) Is the Order a Rabbit? (97 votes)
07.) Haikyu!! 2nd Season (103 votes)
06.) Blood Blockade Battlefront. (112 votes)
05.) One-Punch Man. (128 votes)
04.) Mr. Osomatsu. (173 votes)
03.) Sound! Euphonium. (177 votes)
02.) Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works. (186 votes)
01.) Charlotte. (193 votes)
The polling data skewed toward both the adult age group (61.6% of the voters were aged 20 – 25, while 38.2% were 19 or younger) and the male demographic (60.2% of the voters were men, while 39.8% were women).
Anime! Anime! observes that support for Mr. Osomatsu was disproportionately higher among women, while Sound! Euphonium was more popular among older viewers and Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works was especially popular among teens.
