Makoto Shinkai’s ‘your name.’ is Nominated in San Francisco Film Critics Awards!

Last Sunday, the winners of the San Francisco Film Critics Awards was announced and Makoto Shinkai’s anime smash hit film your name. was nominated in the Best Animated Feature category. However, the award was officially given to the movie Coco, produced by Pixar Animation.

Regardless of it not getting the award on its nominated category, it is great to know that this movie is still gaining international attention.

Due to the immense hype and demand, it was screened in over 92 countries and territories, conquering a majority of the box office charts. The movie is now the second highest grossing anime film worldwide, and the fourth highest-grossing film of all time in Japan.
