The newest big name in manga can come from the most unlikely places. Manga app Comico announced that’ll debut a series of high school mangaka Kishiwo, who won the 2016 National Student Championship manga contest.
Their debut work is Namae no Nai Kyouri (Distance Without a Name), which is a romantic-drama between an emotionally scarred woman in her 30s and a teenage boy. The manga’s premise served as the basis of their 2016 winning submission.
Namae no Nai Kyouri will debut in March and the Comico editors are excited to show off Kishiwo’s art style, which looks really detailed for a high schooler. Will check the series out when it debuts?
