#10- The Hunter X Hunter 2011 Anime
The Hunter X Hunter manga has been going for 18 years at this point, thanks in the part to the hiatuses the author has taken for various reasons. It’s been adapted into 2 separate animes and it’s still not close to being over. It was therefore only natural that the 2011 anime had to end on a note that left the story hanging- the story still isn’t finished!
However, the mangaka is going to start producing chapters again, so hopefully within the next decade we’ll see the story finally finished and get another season of anime. The show had great animation and an action packed storyline, so I definitely want to see more of it.
#11- The Ouran High School Host Club Anime
This comical romance-tinged anime about a girl who crossdresses and works with a bunch of ridiculous boys on a club where they entertain ladies was incredibly popular and beloved, but despite that, it never received a second season even though the manga it was based on concluded a long time ago. The anime ends on a really open ended note and who the main character will end up with remains unanswered (but strongly implied). The manga tied up all the romantic loose ends and showed the characters graduating the school, so it would be nice to see a proper conclusion for the story animated.
#12- The Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun Anime
This lighthearted parody of shoujo (manga aimed at girls) focusing on a boy who writes a girls romance manga and the quirky cast of characters that surrounds him was sidesplittingly funny. And there’s still a ton more of the story its based on! I want to see another season of shenanigans.
