I Want to Eat Your Pancreas (Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai) sounds like a ghoulish series, but it’s actually about terminal illness.
Based on a 2014 novel written by Yoru Sumino, the story features two youths after a chance meeting. An unnamed boy finds Sakura’s diary and learns that she has a terminal pancreatic illness. Sakura has kept her health a secret from her school, but the boy promises to stay with Sakura during her last few months of life.
The synopsis gives off major Your Lie in April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) vibes, which absolutely destroyed the community’s emotions two years ago.
You also won’t have to wait long to have your heart ripped out since the movie’s official website announced it will debut during the fall 2018 season. The movie’s new Twitter account also published a new poster and tagline that reads, “The distance between two people still has no name.”

The movie’s staff and voice cast haven’t been announced yet, but the characters are based on Loundraw’s designs. Loundraw is a hot new artist in the industry and blew everyone away with Tsuki ga Kirei – which melted our hearts for happy reasons.
