Dragon Ball Super Theory Tells Us That A Major Betrayal Is Coming Soon!

Hey guys! How’s it going on? I hope all of you had a blast on New Year’s Eve and are enjoying the new year! A lot of things happened in 2018 which kept us going as a community. With the abrupt end of Dragon Ball Super TV series in March, 2018 to the amazing Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie in December, 2018, we saw a lot of things which I think none of you can ever forget. This year has been really special.

Well, as the new year has already started, people are still wondering about the fate of Dragon Ball Super Season 2. We really don’t have any official information on it right now but we have so many unofficial hints and rumors that it’s just pointing to one thing – Dragon Ball Super will return. Well, leaving the anime aside, we have some more issues to deal with – Dragon Ball Super manga.

I am sure all of you are at least familiar with the brand new CANON Dragon Ball Super arc that has started in the manga in November. This arc is supervised by Akira Toriyama himself so we expect a lot of exciting fights in this arc! Well, according to one redditor named RochHoch, it seems like we are going to see a huge betrayal soon enough. This theory is really interesting, so I request you guys to read till the end!

He writes, “So can we all agree that Merus let Moro escape in exchange for the power that Goku and Vegeta can’t seem to perceive? The set-up is clearly there, with the Galactic Patrol being largely useless against massive, world destroying threats like Moro, and now that Freeza is alive again, Merus has a reason to desperately seek out power through any means possible.

Most likely, the reason Merus ordered his men to take Goku and Vegeta with them in the previous chapter is because he’s bringing them straight to Moro so that he can absorb their energy and make himself stronger, which would in turn make him a threat, since its extremely hard to believe that he would stand a chance against SSB at this point.

I feel like a 2 vs 2: Goku and Vegeta vs Powered-up Merus and Moro fight is likely to happen in this arc, which would be pretty cool.” Now, that’s pretty interesting! I know, it’s pretty absurd to whip out a theory so soon but the astonishing thing is that there’s not just one person but A LOT of people on reddit are saying the same thing. Check out this small detail, RebelIed pointed out.

A redditor, BluntAnswers0123 commented, “LMAOOO, I love how Vegeta is more concerned about Merus strength than the GOAT” to which RevelIed replied – “That’s because Merus is using magic and thats why Vegeta can’t figure things out. He learned it from Moro, and he’s the one who helped him escape.” A lot of people agreed on this part as well.

Some were speculating that Merus himself is Moro or is a puppet of Moro but majority of the audience agreed on the fact that Merus is somehow linked to Moro’s escape and most probably he’s the one who set Moro free. Also, you can see how much they stressed upon the fact that Vegeta cannot figure out this Merus guy or his motives. Merus, the #1 Galactic Patroller is gonna betray everyone? Pretty dramatic.

Another redditor wrote – “100% this, energy can be sensed while Magic cannot. Moro probably bribed Merus with a promise of Power like the Sith do in all throughout Star Wars. This would explain how Moro would be able to teach someone about it and not get caught.” This makes so much sense as well. Magic is something which hasn’t been explored so well yet.

Some people were thinking that Merus is another alien who is a time skipper like Hit but I highly doubt it’s possibility. This would be highly possible if Goku and Vegeta were unaware about the ‘Time Skip’ ability. I am sure after facing Hit so many times and even observing his matches, Goku and Vegeta can possibly identify if someone is using Time Skip or not. That’s why Merus may be a traitor hiding in plain sight.

While we still don’t have any proper evidence for this theory to be correct – I think this may be the closest thing to the truth right now. Isn’t it so suspicious that Moro could so conveniently escape after all these millions of years in jail? Something is cooking and we just need to wait till the next chapter drops. Well, what do you guys think? Is Merus a traitor or just another strong guy? Let me know down below!
