“I Fall In Love with You Through a Robot” Theatrical Anime Film Announced

I Fall in Love with You Through a Robot (known in Japan as Boku wa Robot goshi no Kimi ni Koi wo Suru), a 2017 science fiction novel by Yusuke Yamada, is being adapted into a theatrical anime film. So far, no further details about the production have been revealed. More information will be revealed at a later date by Kawade Shobo Shinsha, the novel’s publisher.

An animated preview video for the I Fall in Love with You Through a Robot novel was previously released back in October of 2017. The PV features animation by A-1 Pictures and the voice talents of Miyu Irino as Takeru Ohsawa and Kana Hanazawa as Saki Amano.

The story of I Fall in Love with You Through a Robot is set in 2060, just before the third Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The main character, Takeru Ohsawa, works at a company secretly developing humanoid robots featuring advanced artificial intelligence. However, as a result of their work the company is targetted by terrorists, so Takeru decides to fight back against the terrorist group in order to defend Saki Amano, a fellow employee whom he loves.
