One Piece: World Seeker – First Scan with Screenshots of 2018 PS4 Game

According to the latest issue of Shuisesha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, One Piece: World Seeker is heading to the PS4 in 2018! This announcement is only for Japan, but the game’s title has been trademarked in the US and Europe so we can definitely expect a worldwide release! A specific release date has not been announced at this time.

Jump calls the One Piece: World Seeker a dramatic free field action where players can freely adventure across anywhere in a giant One Piece world!

The game is a collaboration between video game publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment, One Piece anime studio Toei Animation, One Piece manga publisher Shuiesha, and One Piece author Eiichiro Oda with the goal of bringing an “unprecedented” One Piece game. Up until now, the game has been going by its code name – project “Dawn”. Now, however, we know it aligns with the trademark filing by Bandai Namco Entertainment and will be called One Piece: World Seeker!

Take a look at the first scan with actual screenshots from the game below.

A visual related to the game – released a few weeks ago – shows the Holy Land of Mariejois under destruction, with a shadow of an anonymous figure in front of it. Mariejois is home to the Celestial Dragons and capital of the World Government and an incident has occurred there, causing an outbreak and shaking the influential powers of the One Piece world.
