After releasing their list of completed manga which need an anime adaptation, Japanese anime news website, animeanime.jp shifted their focus to ongoing manga series which also need to get their own anime adaptations.
Much like the previous poll, animeanime asked 1,171 individuals about their opinions. Take note that this is about ongoing or incomplete manga series, so titles like Gundam Crossbone and Psyren don’t count. And without further ado, here are the Top 10:
10 – Rengoku ni Warau by Kemuri Karakara
9 – The Promised Neverland by Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu
8 – Cells at Work! by Akane Shimizu
7 – Grand Blue by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka
6 – Yotsuba&! by Kiyohiko Azuma
5 – Oresama Teacher by Izumi Tsubaki
4 – Kono Oto Tomare! by Amyuu
3 – Mr. Nietzsche in the Convenience Store by Hashimoto and Matsukoma
2 – Delicious in Dungeon by Ryoko Kui
1 – Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san by Souichirou Yamamoto
The romantic comedy which follows a middle school boy desperately trying to exact his revenge on his classmate, Takagi-san, by making her blush, took the top spot in these rankings, and from the plot alone, it really does seem to make an interesting anime to watch, right?
Meanwhile, Ryoko Kui’s beloved fantasy manga took second place, while Mr. Nietzsche in the Convenience Store, which already got a live-action adaptation but not yet an anime adaptation, took third place.
So, which other ongoing manga do you think also deserves an anime adaptation?
