Ghost in the Shell Online Shooter Game Will Launch 1st in N. America

Nexon Korea will launch the Ghost in the Shell: First Connection Online first-person shooter gamein North America before its global release. The game will undergo initial testing in South Korea. Neople general producer In Lee made the announcement in a video.

The game’s crew visited Nevada recently to get an idea for the game’s desert environment and get detailed recordings of gunfire.

Players will be able to choose from multiple attributes: Speed, which increases a character’s overall agility; Power, which gives the players weapons such as arm rockets; Stealth, which allows players to become invisible; Detect, which lets players see incoming enemies or use recon robots, and Support, which allows players to build turrets. Skill Share also combines team strength and helps with assists.

Nexon announced in 2012 that the company had signed an agreement with Japanese publisherKodansha to develop and release a PC online game based on the anime titles Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society. Nexon expected to launch the “Hacking FPS” game in early 2014, but has not yet done so. No release date was given in the most recent announcement.
