With 2014 now over, Amazon.co.jp has now unveiled which anime Blu-rays, mangas, and light novels, have been doing very well with their sales last year. These rankings were based on their sales from the period of December 1, 2013 until November 16, 2014.
Let’s start things off with Amazon’s best-selling anime Blu-rays which held a few surprises with Gundam UC’s epic conclusion taking the top spot in the rankings beating out favorites, Madoka Magica and Love Live!

Now that’s a lot of limited editions! Gundam UC may have taken the Blu-ray rankings, but now, as we take a look at the manga rankings, things get a bit more titanic…

Looks like Attack on Titan, One Piece, Silver Spoon, Saint Young Men, and To Love-ru Darkness had a stellar year in sales last year in Amazon. Now how about the light novels? I guess it’s safe to say that it was an upset with Sword Art Online, Monogatari, and Oregairu giving way to an unexpected winner…
