Too Sweet: That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime
From the very beginning, this series starts out sweet. A cute little slime meets a giant dragon who just wants to make friends. The two of them give each other names, and eventually the slime goes out into the world with the absorbed power of the dragon and starts making a society where monsters and humans can coexist. There’s almost no problem in Reincarnated as a Slime that isn’t approached through discussion over combat first—a refreshing change of pace for the genre.

On this the third round, Yusuke finds himself excited for the first time in a long time, only for his class to be rolled as a weaker farmer. Together with his teammates, they struggle to survive each round.
This series attempts to do a few new things with the isekai genre. One of those new things is allowing them to return to the normal world. Another is making the main character particularly uncaring to his teammates. Instead of friends, they are very much pawns to him. As it features a sort of respawn system, ti makes their deaths less permanent, but still painful or them.
By the Grace of the Gods
After leading a miserable life, Ryouma Takebayashi passes away at age 39. With his newfound existence, he spends it studying slimes, amassing a slime army, and learning some magic, but he misses humanity. Being persuaded to join a group of travelers, Ryouma’s new world opens up for him.
Continuing in the brave tradition of being isekai, but cute in order to mix things up, by the Grace of the Gods is just that. The main character is a young-ish child, which makes his harem less sexy and more maternal.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
After being chased out of his NEET nest, a man instinctively saves some teens from an oncoming car and is killed. He is reborn as Rudeus Greyrat, a baby and new first born son of a local knight. Finding he has great potential for magic, Rudy vows to make the most of his new life even if he is still a perverted otaku on the inside.
The series doesn’t do anything different with the formula, but it is what it does right that makes it great. All the characters around the main character, especially the parents, feel like real people that are important to the world. It’s not just the main character’s show, it does legitimately feel like he is part of this new world and not just the hottest thing to come to it since sliced bread.

This series takes the route similar to That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime. It reincarnates a character into a lowly creature and follows them as they thrive. An interesting element is that it also shows what her fellow classmates are up to, which is a refreshing break considering the main character chatters quite a bit, leading to a bit of a manic pace.
