13th “One Piece” Theatrical Film Announced for 2016

The official home page for One Piece has announced that the next theatrical film in the series will be coming to Japanese cinemas in the Summer of 2016. This marks the 13th theatrical One Piece film, as well as the 1st theatrical movie since the release of One Piece Film: Zin December of 2012.

Details are currently scarce. So far the only information provided is a partial cast list, including:

• Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji)
• Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp)
• Akemi Okamura (Nami)
• Kazuya Nakai (Zoro)
• Ikue Ōtani (Chopper)
• Yuriko Yamaguchi (Nico Robin)
• Kazuki Yao (Franky)
• Chō (Brook)

One Piece creator is scheduled to weigh in with his thoughts and comments in the issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump that will be published on August 31, 2015, so stay tuned for updates.
